H.T 5.40 am L.T 11.40 am. The desperate onshores continue and we rally together in this time of duress…south to south east at 15k’s and 3ft…no options on the open beaches…think boats and Gilligan’s island…Quarantines…Monday will be south to south east at 10k’s and 3ft…ditto above….Tuesday will be east to south east at 25k’s and 4 to 5 ft…super solid onshore at 13th and Townies…cafe time…Barwon Orange makes a good brew…mmm…Wednesday looked like being ok but sadly it doesn’t look like going offshore proper…a strong peaky dangerous easterly for the inexperienced surfer and 5ft…tending east to south easterly at 10 k’s…another good cafe according to my older friends is the Endless Summer Cafe…good coffee,food and surf memorabilia…mmm…Thursday will be east to north east tending north east by 9.00 am…onshore expected by 2.00 pm…yes smallish but fun…go surfing…stay upright and make a difference..Ross Rasta Surf Co

H.T 5.00 am L.T 11.00 am….A very fresh easterly wind at 18k’s and a solid 3 to 4ft swell on the open beaches…could be hard work on this shifty swell…not really a day for learners me thinks…tending south easterly in the arvo….Sunday will be south to south east at 15k’s and 3ft…dropping back to 2ft in the arvo…are you desperate enough yet….Monday will be south to southeast at 15K’s and 3ft…more…I give you more…is the cup still half full…mmm….Tuesday will be easterly at 20K’s and 4ft….hard work at 13th and townies…tending south to south easterly at 15K’s in the arvo….ditto woeful….Wednesday will be east to north east at 10K’s and 3ft…our best chance of a clean wave…please enjoy…likely to swing back easterly by 2.00pm in the arvo….stay upright and make a difference Ross Rasta Surf Co

H.T 4.55 pm L.T 10.15 am….How do I let you my lovelies down ever so gently that the next five days are going to be onshore, being sensitive to your needs, I think it’s best to suggest why not spend some time raking leaves, learn to bake bread or give some Tai Chi a go…southerly at 18K’s and 2 to 3ft…mmm…maybe a clean dribble down at Lorne….Saturday will be easterly at 12K’s and 4ft…cross shore at 13th and townies …tending onshore by mid morn….looks like hard work…..Sunday will be south east at 15K’s and 3ft…yes another day of onshore surf…Supping the river might be fun….or check Lorne out again for a small clean wave…..Monday will be east to south east at 20K’s and 3ft…more difficult surf conditions on the open beaches…why bother…stay safe in the cafes….Tuesday will be east to south east at 25K’s and 4 to 5ft…big nasty surf at 13th and townies…do some stretching….hammies….then hit the cafes again….stay upright and make a difference Ross Rasta Surf Co

Woody Brown

Woody Brown, a true pioneer of wood and foam. From the redwood boards of the 30’s to designing ply boards in the late 30’s to foam of the 60’s. Woody surfed the complete era of modern surf design and was at the forefront of big wave riding in Hawaii with a small band of other big wave surfers. Woody was an accomplished waterman, aviator and was responsible for the modern catamaran that we know today. H.T 2.30 pm L.T 8.15 am…Signees…A summery wonky swell on the open beaches which are struggling for banks early due to the lack of water…light east to north east at 5K’s and 2 to 3ft and a clearing morning mist…me thinks the quality will improve with more tide and a tad more offshore….10 till 2.00 appears to be the window for a cleanish wave….13th or townies…take your pick….Wednesday will be easterly at 6K’s and 2ft…light cross shore surf at 13th and townies tending onshore by 2.00pm…mmm…ok for a desperate roll of the shoulder with some tide….Thursday will be south to south east at 3K’s and 2ft…light onshore dribble…a good day for latte drinking….Friday will be south to south east at 15K’s and 2 to 3ft…more onshore conditions…clean wave options are slim…quarantines looks the goods…book a boat….Saturday will be easterly at 20K’s and 4 to 5ft…large cross shore surf on the open beaches…looks like very hard work…not a day for beginners me thinks….stay upright and make a difference Ross Rasta Surf Co003

Derek Ho

Derek Ho, Hawaiian surfer who was a dominate force on the pro circuit during the 80’s and 90’s. At only 5.4 and around 60kg he was one of the smallest and lightest professional surfers. His dominance of Pipeline with his brother Michael is the stuff of legend. In his pro career he accumulated two Pipeline wins, 4 Triple Crowns and a World Championship title in 1993.
