What was a big hole and double plug blow out, is now just a mere bad dream…all fixed and now ready to hit the high seas…mmm
The pain of a destroyed fin box is nearly over…a new box and capped glass with pin line tidy up, now ready for a gloss finish and as we say a happy ending…mmm
There’s no doubt you should always try and buy the best quality surfboard you can afford…well it can save you some serious coin when your fin plugs pop out, here we have FCS copy plugs, non steel screws, no H pattern, no glass patch….so repair costs can cancel out any saving on the original price…mmm
An instant twin fin, courtesy of a surf at 1st Carpark the other day….after replacement FCS plugs and re-glassing it will be as good as new again, or in my opinion better than before…onward and upward.
More action involving rocks and fins…old school fin resets are becoming less and less of a skill set due to the advent of fin plug systems and fin boxes…anyways we have the skill set to repair all sorts of fin disasters…mmm
It looks like it will take more than Lorne low tide rocks to take out this classic Roar surfboard shaped by Greg Brown…now ready for the high seas again…mmm
