Rasta 13th Beach Surf Report 18.01.18

Rasta 13th Beach Surf Report 18.01.19….High Tide 8.55am Low Tide 2.50pm….a super small clean swell on a near high tide at 2ft or so…super balmy start to the day…13th or townies on a log or fat fish could be fun….expected onshore sooner rather than later…mmm…Saturday will be south to south westerly at 12k’s and 3 to 4ft…looks like a solid onshore swell at 13th and townies…me thinks a trip to the protected breaks like Pt Addis, Pt Road Knight and Lorne maybe a fair option…Sunday will be south to south easterly at 5k’s and 2 to 3ft…looks like a ugly onshore pattern developing…mmm…light onshore early so fairly clean faces…though no great wave options….Monday will be more of the same….south to south easterly at 8k’s and 2 to 3ft…ditto above…Quarantines would be a nice option for the boaties…Tuesday will be south to south easterly at 4k’s and 3ft…ditto above….Wednesday will be south to south easterly at 10k’s and 2ft…same same but same…mmm…stay upright and make a difference Ross Rasta Surf Co

Rasta 13th Beach Surf Report 17.01.19

Rasta 13th Beach Surf Report 17.01.19…High Tide 8.07am Low Tide 2.01pm…the early bird probably got a clean wave but sadly now the wind is onshore proper from the south to south east at 12k’s and 2 to 3ft…feels like it’s done for the day…😞…all I can say is keep an eye open and hope the wind gods decide to puff offshore…mmm…Friday will be north to north east at 15k’s and 2 to 3ft…13th and townies will be a good option…expected onshore by 11.00am so don’t leave it too late for a paddle…Saturday will be south to south westerly at 17k’s and 2 to 3ft…junky onshore surf at 13th and townies…best chance of a clean wave will be Pt Addis, Pt Road Knight and Lorne…east of townies will be an option…Sunday will be south to south easterly at 2 to 3ft…pretty average surf indeed…best option will be quarantines and that knocks everyone out without water craft…mmm…Monday will be south to south easterly at 8k’s and 2 to 3ft…ditto above…it’s just not cricket…mmm…stay upright and make a difference Ross Rasta Surf Co

Rasta 13th Beach Surf Report 16.01.19

Rasta 13th Beach Surf Report 16.01.19…it’s a coolish onshore southerly at 7k’s and a 3ft swell…looks like a day for the protected breaks like Pt RoadKnight and Lorne me thinks…mmm…High Tide 7.27am Low Tide 1.20pm…Thursday will be just puffing light onshore from the south at first light and then swing offshore by 8.00am from the north west at 5k’s…looks like clean waves for most of the day at 13th and townies…onshore proper by 5.00pm from the south at 25k’s…Friday will be south westerly at 1k and 2ft at first light…again a light offshore kicks in by 8.00am..then offshore for most of the day at 13th and townies…again onshore by 5.00pm….Saturday will be south to south westerly at 14k’s and 4ft…onshore surf all day at 13th and townies…best chance of a clean wave east of townies, Fisho’s Torqool, Pt Addis, Pt Road Knight, Lorne and Kennett….Sunday will be south to south easterly at 11k’s and 2 to 3ft…nothing happening here of any quality…maybe a day for Quarantines…mmm…Monday the same as Sunday so ditto that…mmm…stay upright and make a difference Ross Rasta Surf Co

Pat Morgan Ripcurl Sailboard

In the mid 80’s some of Australia’s best shapers went to what some may term the dark side…here’s a Pat Morgan shaped Ripcurl for a young punk called Jason Polakow…(there’s no doubt that Sailboarding contributed greatly to the development of surf craft in shape, materials, fins and construction techniques…of which many surfers today benefit…Ripcurl’s foray into this area was short lived and considered not so sweet…mmm
